In a bizarre crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
